    About Ben

Ben George is the founder and director of Growth Performance, a leadership and performance consultant who helps organisations strengthen management capability, build emotionally intelligent teams and apply learning that sticks. He began his career leading operational teams within a large global organisation before moving into corporate learning and development.

He joined the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, serving first as L&D Design Lead and later as Training and HR Lead for the Olympic Park, where he helped prepare more than 400 facilitators to train over 250,000 workforce members through the Games Maker Programme. The experience reinforced his commitment to scalable, immersive learning that drives real-world performance.

Since then his work has focused on management and leadership development, team effectiveness and experiential facilitation for global clients across insurance, automotive, pharmaceuticals, media and manufacturing. His sessions challenge leaders to think systemically, experiment safely and translate new insight into everyday practice.

In recent years Ben has integrated AI-enabled performance support and business storytelling into his work, designing workshops that help leaders and teams use generative AI tools to clarify thinking, sharpen decision-making and communicate complex ideas through story. Drawing on behavioural science and design thinking, he supports leaders to build both digital fluency and narrative impact, ensuring technology amplifies rather than replaces human connection.

As a Faculty Lead for international facilitator teams, he focuses on consistency and excellence across regions, having facilitated programmes with participants from Europe, the US, Asia, and the Middle East and Africa. His approach combines performance consulting with evidence-based design, aligning learning to business priorities and measuring distance travelled through behavioural metrics and 360-degree feedback.

The Augmented Leader: Three Shifts That Define Leadership in the Age of AI

AI does not remove the need for leadership. It raises the bar. The leaders who pull ahead make three distinct shifts: leading adoption, leading augmented teams, and leading the AI-shaped organisation.

Leading AI Adoption: Why the Hardest Part Is Human, Not Technical

Most AI adoption stalls not because the tools are weak but because managers have not led the human side: the mandate, the role modelling, and the safety to experiment.

The Frontier Firm: Designing Teams of Humans and AI Agents

Microsoft's 2025 research describes a new kind of organisation built on human-agent teams, where every employee becomes an agent boss. Here is what that shift demands of leaders.

Why We Built the Human Advantage Platform

After a decade working with 50,000+ professionals, the finding that most changed how we think about human capability development came not from development content but from the conditions surrounding it. A reflection on what the research actually shows, and what we built in response.

The Agentic Era: What Changes When AI Becomes an Autonomous Collaborator

AI is no longer a tool you use. In the Agentic Era, it is a collaborator that acts. Organisations focusing exclusively on technology are 1.6 times more likely to fail.
