    Interactive assessment

    Design learning that sticks

An evidence-based L&D diagnostic that maps a training programme design across four dimensions.

Find where learning designs are strong, where they leak and how to improve the conditions for lasting workplace behaviour change.

    How this interactive tool works

This page provides the documented overview before the interactive experience is loaded. It lets you read the purpose, the material covered and the way the result is presented without entering answers or sending a request. When you choose to continue, the interactive version uses the same material shown here. It then presents the route's existing prompts, controls and completion behaviour.

The interactive experience remains responsible for its own input, score and lead-capture step. Where the route requests a first name and work email, its existing form handles validation and submission. This overview does not replace those steps or submit a lead.

    What you will work through

These are the sections and prompts already used by this route. They describe the scope of the interactive experience and the information it asks you to consider before it creates a result, printable card or saved browser document.

    Affective context

The first two questions examine how design connects content to learners' real concerns and the emotional journey of the experience.

    • How content connects to the learner's real concerns
    • How the emotional journey of the learning experience is designed

    Application architecture

The next questions examine when application first occurs and what support follows the learning event.

    • When application first occurs in the learning design
    • What happens in the two weeks following a learning event

    Cognitive strategy

The diagnostic asks about content volume, cognitive load and the use of retention practices between and after learning events.

    • How content volume and cognitive load are handled
    • How the design supports retention between and after events

    Learner agency

The final questions look at learner control over the experience and whether the design uses learners' existing experience as a resource.

    • How much control learners have over the learning experience
    • How the design leverages learners' existing experience

What happens after you complete it

After the eight questions have answers, the existing first-name and work-email gate unlocks the result. Each question offers three design descriptions scored from one to three. The interactive result maps the totals across the four dimensions and labels each one Emerging, Developing or Strong. It opens the existing action plan for the lower-scoring dimensions, including the diagnosis, actions, how-to guidance and cited reference already built into the tool.
