    AI Change Leadership Readiness

Assess your readiness to lead teams and organisations through AI adoption, across growth mindset, adaptive capability, AI curiosity and ethical leadership.

Most AI transformations fail not because of technical limitations but because of leadership gaps. This diagnostic helps leaders understand whether their mindset, capabilities and approach are configured to guide their teams effectively through AI-driven change, or whether there are critical gaps that will limit adoption success.

    How this interactive diagnostic works

This page provides the documented overview before the interactive experience is loaded. It lets you read the purpose, the material covered and the way the result is presented without entering answers or sending a request. When you choose to continue, the interactive version uses the same material shown here. It records your selections while you work and only calculates its result when its required items are complete.

Analytics consent is required before the interactive experience is mounted. Declining consent does not start the diagnostic or its tracking. If you continue, the existing experience remains responsible for its own input, score and lead-capture step. Where the route requests a first name and work email, its existing form handles validation and submission. This overview does not replace those steps or submit a lead.

    Statements in this diagnostic

The interactive version groups the statements below by section. Read them in relation to the situation named in the instructions, then use the response scale shown by the diagnostic. The section descriptions are part of the existing configuration and explain the aspect each group is intended to examine.

    AI Growth Mindset

Leaders who approach AI with a growth mindset, curious, open and willing to learn publicly, create the psychological conditions for successful adoption.

    1. I openly share what I don't know about AI with my team, I don't pretend to have more expertise than I do
    2. I approach AI tools with genuine curiosity rather than scepticism or anxiety
    3. When AI experiments in my team fail, I treat them as learning opportunities rather than mistakes
    4. I actively experiment with AI tools myself, not just delegate AI adoption to others
    5. I believe that AI is going to require me to develop significantly, and I find that energising rather than threatening

    Adaptive Leadership Capability

AI adoption requires adaptive leadership, the ability to navigate ambiguity, adjust approaches quickly and bring people through uncertainty.

    1. I can maintain a clear and credible direction for my team even when I don't have all the answers about AI's impact
    2. I adjust my leadership approach based on what I learn, I don't persist with a plan when the evidence says it isn't working
    3. I manage my team's anxiety about AI effectively, I acknowledge it rather than dismissing or amplifying it
    4. I am comfortable with ambiguity and can operate effectively when the right path forward is not yet clear
    5. I create regular opportunities for my team to share concerns about AI-driven change without fear of judgment

    AI Curiosity & Learning Drive

Leaders who are actively learning about AI, its capabilities, limitations and implications, are better positioned to guide their teams through adoption.

    1. I stay informed about AI developments relevant to my industry, not just general news
    2. I have a specific view on which parts of my team's work AI will change most in the next 2–3 years
    3. I regularly discuss AI's implications with my team, it is not a topic I avoid or defer
    4. I have identified concrete ways AI could make my team more effective and am actively testing them
    5. I seek out people who know more than me about AI, both inside and outside my organisation

    Trust, Ethics & Human-Centred Leadership

The most effective AI leaders keep human wellbeing and ethical considerations central, they don't allow efficiency gains to override the human dimension of work.

    1. I am explicit with my team about the ethical boundaries around how we use AI in our work
    2. I actively consider the impact of AI adoption decisions on individual team members, not just on productivity metrics
    3. I am honest with my team when AI-driven changes will affect their roles, I don't obscure or minimise this
    4. I ensure AI is used to augment my team's work, not simply to reduce headcount or monitor performance
    5. I maintain trust with my team through AI transition by being transparent, consistent and human-centred in my approach

    How the result is read

The interactive diagnostic totals the selected item scores by section and across the whole assessment. It then matches those totals to the configured interpretation bands and shows the section-level results alongside the overall result.

    • Not Ready, 20 to 44: Significant gaps in AI change leadership readiness. Your team's AI adoption is likely to be slow and anxiety-driven without intervention. Start with AI Growth Mindset, begin experimenting visibly with AI tools and sharing your learning journey openly with your team. This single behaviour shift has outsized impact.
    • Partially Ready, 45 to 64: Some readiness but clear gaps that will limit adoption quality. Look at your lowest section. Most partially-ready leaders are strong on intent but weak on consistent behaviour, particularly around Trust & Ethics, where words are not enough.
    • Ready, 65 to 82: A ready AI change leader. You have the mindset, adaptive capability and curiosity to guide your team effectively. Focus on your lowest section and ensure you are translating readiness into specific, visible actions your team can see and trust.
    • Leading Edge, 83 to 100: Leading-edge AI change leadership. You are in a small minority of leaders who are genuinely equipped to guide teams through AI adoption effectively. Your greatest contribution now is developing this capability in others, coaching peers and direct reports to build the same readiness.
